Q: Where are demulcere^TM products made? 

A: All demulcere^TM products are made to order in a private home lab in Toronto, Ontario Canada.

Q. What goes into demulcere^TM skincare products?
A. All demulcere^TM products are made using 100% natural ingredients from the earth. Where possible certified organic ingredients are used. Ingredients are pure, clean and safe. Our products are FREE from chemicals, toxins, GMO's, artificial colours and fragrances, aluminium and other harmful ingredients.

Q. Is Natural Skincare Safe?
A. We carefully research, formulate and test each product. We follow health Canada guidelines for cosmetic manufacturing and all of our products are registered with health Canada with ingredients quantities following the recommended guidelines.

Our private lab` where our products are handcrafted is food safe and we follow all the guidelines provided by the Food and Drug Act as well as Cosmetic Manufacturing guidelines.

Q. Why is the colour of this batch of product different from the last?
A. We use quality, fresh, raw ingredients in our products. We purchase ingredients in small batches to maintain freshness, we handmake products to order. Like all plant, flowers and botanicals ingredients, colours may vary from batch to batch.

Q: Are your products tested on animals? 
A: All of our products are cruelty free, using only the best quality natural ingredients, and tested with love by friends and family.

Q. Is your product packaging Eco- Friendly?
A. Yes! All our products are packaged into eco-friendly and recyclable glass or aluminum containers.

Q: Do you offer shipping?
A: Yes! Canada wide shipping is available for all online orders, fulfilled through Canada Post.

Q. Do you offer FREE shipping?
A. YES! For any purchase of a Serum, Souffle or Set, there is FREE tracked and insured (up to $100 of liability coverage for loss or damage) Canada Post shipping. For a purchase of Salve or Samples ONLY, then there is FREE Canada Post Lettermail, which has NO tracking or insurance. If you would like to track your package for Salve or Samples, you can purchase tracked shipping which will be calculated at checkout. Or you can add a Serum, Souffle or Set to your order and automatically have tracked FREE shipping.

Q. Do you offer FREE Pick up?
A: YES! We offer FREE pick up at Kensington Market in the Downtown Toronto, Ontario area, please select this at time of checkout.

Q: Do you offer wholesale purchases? 
A: Yes, please inquire at danielle@demulcere.com for wholesale pricing of our products to sell in your store or studio.

Q: What is the best way to care for and store the natural products? 
A. Keep your demulcere^TM products stored in a cool, dark place, such as a bathroom cabinet, away from sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid introducing water or any outside chemicals into the containers, and always put the lids back on before storing. 

 

Q: What is the shelf life / expiry date of your products? 
A: Since our products are made with natural ingredients, they are best used within 12 months of opening (although we hope you’ll enjoy using them and expect you’d use it up much quicker than that!). 

Q. What are the best anti aging skincare products?
A. demulcere^TM Facial Oil Serum is great for aging skin due to the coffee oil incorporated in it, which is high in palmitic acid.

Q What products are suitable for dry skin?
A. All demulcere^TM Natural Skincare products are suitable for dry, sensitive skin, mature skin types. To help hydrate, nourish, repair, rejuvenate and restore skin.

Q. What products are suitable for Oily and Combination Skin?
A. demulcere^TM Facial Oil Serum is designed for normal, oily, combination skin types. It includes organic sunflower oil which is high in linoleic acid that is optimal for acne/oily prone skin.

Q. I have sensitive skin, which products are suitable for me?
A. All demulcere^TM Natural Skincare products are designed for sensitive skin. To help calm, hydrate, nourish, repair and restore skin. All our products are naturally scented due to the raw ingredients themselves without addition of essential oils or fragrances.
